How To Play Business Game?

The Business game, similar to Monopoly, has its own set of rules and regulations that players must abide by. The game gained popularity during the pandemic lockdown as it helped keep people occupied and strengthened relationships with family members. To increase chances of winning, players must devise a strategy and possess strong decision-making skills. Luck also plays a role in determining the outcome of the game. While players can try different tactics, it’s important to stay within the framework of the game.

The Business game requires a minimum of three to four players and each player starts with an initial amount of Rs 15,000/-. Players take turns rolling the dice, with the first player to roll a 12 starting the game. Other players must wait at the starting point until they also roll a 12. To purchase property, players must pass the “GO” space and receive Rs 1500/-.

Rolling a double allows the player to take another turn. The goal is to make as much money as possible by playing around the board. The player who has the most money at the end of the game is declared the winner, while players with a loss are considered losers.

In the Business game, each city on the board represents a property. If a player lands on a city and does not purchase it or cannot afford it, the banker will auction it off to the highest bidder. If no one buys it, it remains unsold. The cost of each city is indicated on the board. The key to winning is to buy as many properties as possible, making the right moves and conducting successful business.

If a player lands on a property owned by another player, they must pay rent to the property owner. The owner can also build houses on their property and charge higher rent for properties of the same color. The cost of building a house varies depending on the city it is in. To maximize profits, property owners should build houses on properties of the same color.

Chance and Community Chest

If a player lands on certain spaces on the board, they can draw a card from the deck provided with the Business game and follow the instructions on the card. These cards can result in the player gaining or losing money, or even being sent to jail.

When a player receives a card instructing them to go to jail, they are unable to play until they are freed. However, they can still collect rent, purchase houses, and participate in auctions if they have enough money. A player can end up in jail in two ways, either by drawing a card from the Chance or Community Chest deck that says “go to jail” or by rolling three doubles in a row.

Now How to get out of Jail:

To get out of jail in the Business game, a player can:

  • Roll a double on their next turn
  • Use a “Get Out of Jail Free” card
  • Pay a fine of Rs 200 to the banker and be able to move on their next turn, but not receive the Rs 1500/- bonus

Another strategy used by experienced players is to stay in jail and save money by not paying rent on properties owned by other players. They can then use that money to buy properties and potentially win the game with the most money and properties. However, this strategy is only effective if the player already owns a significant number of properties.

Income Tax

If a player lands on the “Income Tax” space, they must pay a fee of Rs 200 to the banker.

Club House

If a player lands on the “Super Tax” space, they must pay a fee of Rs 100 to the banker for using it.

Rest House

Players who land on the Rest House space will not get to roll the dice in the next round, as the name suggests, they will be given a “rest” round.
